Some weddings feel extra special to film, and Michaela and Jack’s Colorado wedding at Craftwood Peak by Wedgewood Weddings was one of those for me. Michaela and I have known each other for more than 20 years! We go all the way back to elementary school and spent many of our days attempting backflips on the trampoline at her house. Getting to reconnect years later and travel to Colorado to capture her wedding felt pretty surreal in the best way!

Their day was colorful, playful, and full of real emotion. They also had epic views of Pikes Peak from the venue and time set aside for Garden of the Gods wedding portraits surrounded by those unreal red rock formations. Jack’s vows had me crying during the ceremony and all over again while editing their film. As a Colorado wedding videographer who travels in from Michigan, this was exactly the kind of day that makes me want to come back again and again!

Getting Married at Craftwood Peak by Wedgewood Weddings

Craftwood Peak by Wedgewood Weddings is tucked into Manitou Springs, just outside Colorado Springs. It has gorgeous gardens historic architecture, and mountain views that make the whole property feel very Colorado. You can even see Pikes Peak from the venue, which was such a fun part of filming Michaela and Jack’s day.

The venue has both indoor and outdoor spaces, including a garden ceremony courtyard and the Fairytale Grand Hall for receptions. I loved how much variety there was without needing to leave the property. It felt cozy and tucked away while still giving us those big mountain views I was hoping for when traveling to film a Colorado wedding.

And if you do want even more Colorado scenery, Garden of the Gods is less than a mile away. This made it so easy for Michaela and Jack to add a completely different view for their first look and wedding portraits.

Garden of the Gods Wedding: First Look & Portraits

Before heading back to Craftwood Peak for their ceremony, Michaela and Jack started this part of their wedding day at Garden of the Gods for their first look and portraits. If you love the idea of Garden of the Gods wedding photos but still want more of a traditional venue for the rest of your day, their day is such good inspiration for how you can have both.

Their first look was SO sweet. Jack immediately got emotional when he saw Michaela, and she jokingly told him he needed to be strong because she’s an empath and knew she was going to start crying right along with him. It was one of those little interactions that said so much about the two of them.

We stayed at Garden of the Gods for portraits afterward, which gave their wedding film a completely different feel with the red rock formations and wide-open Colorado scenery around them. Then it was back to Craftwood Peak to officially get married and celebrate with everyone they love!

Craftwood Peak has beautiful indoor and outdoor spaces that let you enjoy the Colorado scenery while still having a cozy place to celebrate inside. From the garden ceremony courtyard to the warm, historic reception hall, each space has its own feel while still fitting naturally with the venue.

Craftwood Peak Wedding Ceremony Space

Craftwood Peak by Wedgewood Weddings has an outdoor ceremony courtyard surrounded by gardens and Rocky Mountain scenery. With the venue being located in Manitou Springs near Colorado Springs, it gives couples mountain views without needing to plan a completely remote wedding.

The ceremony courtyard has stone paving, a dark wood gazebo, a waterfall, and a mountain stone backdrop! The surrounding terraced gardens are filled with wildflowers, and you can see toward Pikes Peak from the property.

I just loved how tucked away the ceremony space felt while filming here. You still have all the convenience of a full wedding venue nearby, but the stonework, gardens, and epic mountain views make the ceremony feel connected to the Colorado landscape.

And with Craftwood Peak being so close to Garden of the Gods, you have a completely different setting right nearby. That makes it easy to pair a traditional venue wedding with adventurous Colorado wedding portraits without spending a huge portion of the day traveling between locations.

Craftwood Peak Wedding Reception Space

Craftwood Peak’s indoor Reception Hall is more of a warm and historic space for dinner, speeches, and dancing after an outdoor ceremony. The upstairs hall has a barrel ceiling, dark paneled walls, hardwood floors, and large mullioned windows that bring more light into the room.

There’s also a grand staircase and a large brick bar, while large mirrors help brighten the darker wood tones. I love that it still feels connected to the historic mountain inn without locking you into one specific wedding style. You can still bring in your own colors, florals, and details and make the space feel like yours.

Having the reception indoors also gives you a completely different look from the gardens and mountain views outside. From a wedding film perspective, I loved having that contrast throughout the day, especially when you can move from the outdoor Colorado scenery into a cozy reception space once the party gets going!

Getting Ready at Craftwood Peak

Craftwood Peak also has dedicated spaces where you can get ready and relax with your wedding party before everything begins. The Vintage Cottage has pine-paneled walls, makeup stations, a stone fireplace, and furnishings that fit in with the historic feel of the venue.

The Vintage Cottage also connects with the outdoor ceremony experience. When it’s time to head down the aisle, you can make your entrance down the stone steps toward the waterfall courtyard.

There’s also the Storybook Den. It’s another cozy cottage-style space where you can hang out, have a drink, and settle in before the ceremony. Having these spaces right on the property makes the day feel a little easier, especially if you want everyone nearby before guests start arriving.

How Much Does a Craftwood Peak Wedding Cost?

I know pricing is one of the first things you probably want to know when researching venues, so I did a little digging for you! Based on Craftwood Peak’s current pricing guides, here’s the quick version for weddings in 2026 through 2028:

• Wedding packages: $64–$134 per person in 2026, $67–$137 in 2027, and $69–$139 in 2028.
• Ceremony fee: $495–$1,495 depending on the season. This includes your indoor or outdoor ceremony location, coordination, rehearsal, setup, and breakdown.
• Venue fee: $1,295–$5,895 depending on the day of the week and time of year.

There’s also a 22% administrative fee plus tax, and certain minimums may apply. Pricing can always change, so definitely reach out to Craftwood Peak directly for the most current quote for your wedding date!
